It is the Scriptural mandate for the father to train his children in the Scriptures. I have struggled with this for many years. One tool for teaching doctrine is by catechism. Catechism is a systematic, repetitious way of learning. It is a series of questions followed by the answer or proofs from the scripture. I have chosen to base my study on Spurgeon’s Catechism. Truth does not change and these great truths are the foundation that we build our Christian lives. Please use them as you see fit in your studies in your home and church.
