Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.” (Col 3:16-20 AV)

  • The Christian life takes it a step farther, a one who clams the name of Christ, must submit one’s self to Christ! For He is bought with a price! Rom 12:1-2
    • “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Ro 12:1-2)
  • The Passage in Colossians 3 takes it a steep farther even. One that clams, or has been given a new name in Christ is not only to submit to Christ, and give Christ Preeminence, or first place, he is also to submit to his fellow man!
    • Father Submits to His Heavenly Father & Wife & Children!
    • Children to Submit to Mom & Dad & Each other
